The Destination:

Zapata Ranch is a breathtaking oasis in the San Luis Valley where you can experience the healing power of Nature, Horses and Community.  This remote destination offers a one of a kind retreat experience. Set in a cottonwood grove beneath the back drop of the 14,000ft Sangre de Cristo Mountains, it is a spectacular setting to dive deeply into the restorative power this beautiful land. The ranch is home to Elk, Mule Deer, Migratory birds, Eagles, a resident Buffalo herd and is also a working Cattle ranch.

Your Ranch experience will include chef inspired breakfasts, saddlebag packed lunches, Gourmet dinners under the cottonwoods, quaint accommodations with private baths and once in a lifetime riding experiences in Great Sand Dune National Park, the Medano and Zapata lands. 

Each day we will join together in community to experience the healing power of Equine Gestalt Coaching, forage for native plants & flowers, learn the art of wildcrafting and the restorative practices of herbal healing. And, of course... ride amazing horses!!! There will be personal time to hike, read, reflect and soak in a tub too. Nights around a bonfire will close out each glorious day and send you off to a night of dreams under a starry sky. 

Gestalt and Herbal Wisdom:

In this retreat you will explore the somatic experience of Equine Gestalt which offers transformational awareness and healing in addition to deepening your connection to nature, horses and community. Gestalt brings us into the present moment to explore how we show up in the world. Horses are the intuitive guides that help us to gain awareness and free ourselves from the feeling of being stuck, stressed out or unable to reach our true potential.

Herbal healing offers us a renewed approach to connecting with our bodies while awakening an ancient wisdom that lives inside all of us. The creation and use of herbal teas, smudge bundles, balms and elixirs resets the nervous system and enlivens all the senses.

Joining together Gestalt and Herbal Wisdom is a beautiful way to honor our mind, body & spirit.

In addition, time spent with horses encourages us to become more connected to our bodies, the world around us and to nature. By fostering these relationships we learn to live in sync with nature and trust our wild instincts, intuition and resourcefullness.

Travel:

Zapata is located 3.5 hours from Denver, 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs and 4 hours from Albuquerque, NM.

Rental Car will be needed to reach the ranch from whichever airport is most convenient. 

A list of attendees will be available to set up "ride share"  as a transportation option

Cost Of Retreat: $2,895.00  4 days, 3 Nights (Meals, Accomodations and Riding)

Deposit of 50% due at time of booking.

Terms:  Deposits are non refundable unless your spot can be filled. In the event of a refund a 25% fee will be charged.

No refunds for any cancellations 60 days or less prior to the retreat start date. However, you will be able to apply these funds towards other services at A Wild Omen, LLC. 

How To Book Your Retreat: 

RSVP to the event. Fill out the infomation form. Once your form is received you'll be sent an invoice for pament in full or 50% deposit (your choice) to hold your spot.  Then, you're all set!!
